The new update will allow users to play videos while they are working on other tasks in Telegram, or if they want to continue watching the video while chatting with someone else on WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger. This feature is only available for video files up to 140 seconds long so far because there are still some issues with larger videos that need more work before being released publicly by Telegram developers.
